Re: Iowa @ Wisconsin
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Only thing that scares me is that Iowa is terrible, too . [/ QUOTE ] It was Christensens first true road start.. Iowa State plays us tough no matter how good either team is, the year we were 11-1 we lost to an inferior Iowa State team too.. I'm not saying we are great this year or that we will beat Wisconsin, I just know not to put too much weight on how we play ISU.. With that said I'm having a hard time not taking Wisky because I like money [/ QUOTE ] Well said brutha. Last week hurt though. When we're both bad it's the only game of the year that actually counts Are you an alumni? |

Re: Iowa @ Wisconsin

That's the same reason I took the 7.5 points. [/ QUOTE ] I don't understand this thinking. You think that you have an edge over the bookies because neither they nor you nor anyone else can accurately gauge the relative strengths/weaknesses of these teams? Why would it necessarily be the underdog that is underrated in this situation and not the favorite? I bet the Badgers in this game, but I wouldn't have bet the game at all if I thought I couldn't get a handle on the game and thought that noone knew how good either of these two teams are. |

Re: Iowa @ Wisconsin
I know this might sound like BSP logic, but I don't think you guys appreciate the advantage the badgers will have playing there big ten home opener as a night game at camp randall. The atmosphere at Camp Randall will be absolutely electric because the student section will be turbo-charged from 10+ hours of drinking. Football isn't played by fans, but I think the badgers will be more than prepared for this game.

Re: Iowa @ Wisconsin
I have the Badgers Big...3 unit play
i had -9 based on preseason strengths/weaknesses after seeing the games thus far, the edge is greater for the Badgers This spread is off over a whole TD IMO pretty ridic |

Re: Iowa @ Wisconsin
How do you evaluate the two teams in preseason based on quarterbacks who really were almost complete unknowns?
Anyway, now that I can get wisconsin's line at -7 I think it's worth a play... *come on line shift to 6.5 please please please* (I know it won't happen darn it) |

Just based on the Iowa/Iowa State game? Because Wisconsin played much worse than expected against UNLV and the Citadel and Iowa played really well against Syracuse. Just seems like kind of a big leap. Not that I'd expect them to be accurate at this point of the year, but the Sagarin ratings say Iowa should be a 1 point favorite on the road. I'd think that would be representative of the fact that they've actually performed better than Wisconsin in their first few games relative to the competition they've faced. |
