Windows graphics go on tilt during poker sessions - HELP
Usually when I multi-table, suddently all the screen goes black or white with smears.
This is not a graphics card problem because I tried with different cards. When I go to Windows Task Manager and close explorer.exe process, and then reopen it, the problem is fixed (temporarily, until screen goes blank again). - Is this a known problem? Does anybody else have this? I use a Dell 30" display and play lots of tables. - Is there a fix? - If there is no fix, can somebody teach me how to create a shortcut to "restart explorer.exe" so that I just have to click a button to fix screen and not need to CTRL+ALT+DEL, open task manager, select process. etc. I usually miss several hands when this happens. 20$ to whoever helps me out. thx |

Re: Windows graphics go on tilt during poker sessions - HELP
Do you run PT/PAHUD?
This may work for killing a process: Start up an instance of internet explorer and try running the following from a cmd prompt taskkill /F /IM iexplorer.exe If it kills it, then just make a shortcut and remove the I (so it is explorer.exe) and you should be good. You could also make a batch file (and shortcut to it) that would kill/restart. Anyways, try kill first and we can go from there. |

I run PAHUD yes
but the problem occurs even if no programs are open (just PokerStars) |

Re: Windows graphics go on tilt during poker sessions - HELP
I started having similar problems recently.
XP - 1gb ram - gforce 7600 (256 mb) Rebooting seems to help until the next time, suggesting a memory issue - perhaps related to the poker software (had some issues with Fulltilt where it gave me too many windows open or similar message) or other software not releasing memory properly. If I find out the issue I will post it here. |
