Re: NL50 - AQ turn decision
Blah...this is like a set 90% of the time, but there's a slight chance he has A6 or A7 or even AQ I suppose. But MUCH more likely a set.

Re: NL50 - AQ turn decision
you're getting almost 3:1 to call with top 2 vs. an unknown. that's pretty automatic.

[/ QUOTE ] Yup its hard to fold and I doubt I'd manage it at the time but if you analyse the hand, it does scream set. What hand does he chk/call flop with that he then chk/raises AI on this turn, that we beat? 6c7c/8c9c/AK (all kinda unlikely) and then that mostly leaves air. So you're pretty much just beating a bluff. In the heat of the moment I'd probably snap call but thinking about it, I reluctantly fold. |

Re: NL50 - AQ turn decision
Instacall. Could be any other two pair, an open ender that turned into a flush draw, a poorly played AK, or a set. You are good here way more than enough to make it profitable at these limits.

Re: NL50 - AQ turn decision
yah it sucks when you see a set but it feels ooohsooo good when you see A6/A7 or even 67

Re: NL50 - AQ turn decision
Snapcall? You'll see plenty of worse 2 pairs and weird hands and you're even getting good odds. There's just no way that an unknown has a set so often that you win at showdown less than 26% of the time here, especially not one that didn't even start the hand with a full stack.

Re: NL50 - AQ turn decision
I don't really like the term "fist-pump call", but seems pretty appropiate here.
Come on, he doesn't even have a full stack, and you have Top2 on a board with no straight or flush available. Super easy call imo. He plays every 2-pair combination like this, and probaly some even worse hands too. |

Re: NL50 - AQ turn decision
As others have said, this really could be anything, and you're ahead of him 99% of the time. Instacall
