Are there \'Zoo\' games online?
Inspired to get a feel for a real loose game, with very frequent highly multi-way pots, I moved to 2c/4c table with a high flop rate to see.
To my surprise, the table actually got quite tight, with only 2-4 players seeing most flops, and if the players had a fault, it was being a touch weak-tight and over valueing the 1 way Nuts without scoop potential (particularly A2xx where a split likely). It was hard to get hands paid well, though I did OK, thanks to scooping when opponent probably didn't have much and decided to fold on turn having paid many bets to see it. Now I really wonder, why 2c/4c wasn't like a play money table. All I think of is pride. Those players, were wanting to learn the game and play well. Noone who is out to gamble is going to bother with 2c/4c, I left having the impression it was a tougher table than 25c/50c say on same site, with plenty of lunatics being around on the $1/2 table at the right times. I'm rather glad, I started building my roll a couple of years ago! So is there any No Fold'em FLO8 games around, or is PLO8 the place for the AFCW (Any 4 cards can win) brigade? |

BBV means what?
I'm more interested in a FLO8 Zoo game, as 4-card Push doesn't strike me as very interesting. |

Re: Are there \'Zoo\' games online?
why 2c/4c wasn't like a play money table
I think a significant number of people at 2c/4c would be either - nearly busto players playing with the last $10 in their BR - people new to the game who nonetheless had the discipline to start the game at the very lowest cash level just to get a feel for it Neither group is really all that soft I guess. Someone who just wants to play might as well play the play money tables. More generally I think that this kind of 'fishiness inversion' or whatever you want to call it is pretty common. Gamblors, drunk people, and losers moving up to chase their losses are mostly not going to be playing 2c/4c... |

I played the 1/2c and 2/4c games when I was first learning hi low, there was the occasional donk but most players were just doing what I was doing, getting to grips with a new game.
In contrast, the 10/25c games on FullTiltPoker are crazy soft, with huge average pot sizes and 6+players per flop. |

Re: Are there \'Zoo\' games online?
Agreed. Just play the .10/25 games. Every time I've played .01/.02, I've had the impression that we were playing for the last $5 of every person at the table.
Although, if you need a quick .03, a pre-flop raise generally does the trick. |
