Re: Econometrics Help
an econ prof once said to my class " econ is the major for the kids who can't do math, and politics is the major for the kids who can't do econ." Anyways, I'm an econ major and I've taken econometrics and i suggest poker as an alternative.

Re: Econometrics Help
I was a gov major but beta nought should equal:
Y bar - ( (E (Yi-Ybar)*(Xi-Xbar))/(E (Xi-Xbar)^2) * (Xbar i) Sounds like the prof is getting fancy using "derived." You don't need to find a derivative to answer the questions correctly. |

Re: Econometrics Help
Any basic statistics/econometrics textbook would have the derivation for this. Your uni library would have tons of them.
