Re: 22$ TT early
I would raise to t120 pre in this position, but a limp for set-value is also fine.
I fold turn. Too many scare-cards to come, and we could be up against a str8 already. |

Re: 22$ TT early
i too prefer the raise with TT+ pre to 3BB. If there are already several limpers I might limp behind.
I especially like the raise from the high-jack. If called, I am pretty passive on the flop. oh, and fold to a RR preflop this early. one thing to remember about limping for set value, is it only works if someone is going to give you value when you hit your set. From later positions when you are opening, it is less likely you are going to get set value, and very likely that if you limp your are going to get outdrawn on the flop and not know where you are in the hand. |

Re: 22$ TT early
in EP I limp TT here, but in your position I would raise to 120. Def wouldn't be putting any more money in as played, on this board.

Re: 22$ TT early
well, i figured he might bet a lower pp here a lot of the time/start bluffing(psb has no sense)
i still have 4+2 outs if he isn't and will for sure check behind on an unimproved river so i decided to call. i know that's it's questionable tho. |

Re: 22$ TT early
I always raise preflop to 3.5x BB...3xBB gives BB better implied odds than 3.5.
Only hands you can force out on flop is KQ, QT, or JT. Even so, you could get called on flop if you c-bet. |

I don't mind preflop. But definitely fold turn.

Re: 22$ TT early
In this case you have basically a bluff hand postflop so you would be better off betting yourself on the flop (which I would usually do) rather than calling a bet on the turn. You are up against random hands in the blinds only and it's a big card flop so you probably are going to take it down.
Raising preflop is a matter of style but only two off the button and with these stacks I think the hand plays better for a raise. |
