AQ, against LAG HU
Hey all
Played this hand on a 6max table with only 2 of us left of an initial 4. Villain was loose when there were 3 or 4 or us and we have just gone to heads up. His stats at the time were something like 55/20/2 over 70ish hands. My play to flop is standard I guess. On the turn I felt I was likely ahead and wanted to give him a chance to bluff. Without any real reads ... (I havent seen him do anything radical) .. is a call on the river +EV? Absolute Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 2 players Converter Stack sizes: SB: $175.50 Hero: $396.90 Pre-flop: (2 players) Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB raises to $6, Hero raises to $22, SB calls. Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($44, 2 players) Hero bets $32, SB calls. Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($108, 2 players) Hero checks, SB checks. River: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($108, 2 players) Hero checks, SB bets $67, Hero ??? |

Re: AQ, against LAG HU
I have a good feeling you'll find a better spot than this to get money in.. you can call for info but it's very thin.

Re: AQ, against LAG HU
Think its reasonable to fold here, he could have 22, 66-QQ and got the full house. Maybe 33.

Re: AQ, against LAG HU
Could also be vbetting very light with 67 or something... I'd like to at least have a pair against a guy we only have no read on.

Re: AQ, against LAG HU
Trivial fold given the low probability of him calling the flop and checking the turn without showdown value to bluff the river.

Re: AQ, against LAG HU
either c/f or b/f turn.. (c/f turn translates into c/f river UI)

i dont understand why you would call here. how can A high be good? [/ QUOTE ] lol I think I call here but I call too much and care too little. There can not be a general answer, it depends on the villain's IQ and some other factors. About bet/folding on any street: Is it a bluff or a valuebet? I think its closer to a super thin (and bad) valuebet, everything better calls and some worse aces might call too. Check is the correct play on turn and the river, wheter to fold or call is the real question. |
