Re: 5/10 Borgata NL Rule Question
Can't speak for the Borgata, but in the 5/10 here the odd red chips do not get chopped.

Re: 5/10 Borgata NL Rule Question
house rule in effect, while they shouldn't chop it if the Borg normally does then it is what it is. Foxwood does this too , so does Fallsview in Canada. I've bitched once to each floor at each location but I leave it there.

Re: 5/10 Borgata NL Rule Question
From experience in that game:
They should not chop the $5 into whites. It generally doesn't matter if they do, it won't really affect the game, and anyone who is concerned about one chip being in play in that game is probably at the wrong table. As for who gets the odd chip - in the high limit room (only) they do it by suit. Rest of the room it is by closest to button. It's always great fun to see a nit explode over this one in the 5/10. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think they're actually trying to do it by suit in the whole room. Its become the most common thing I'm seeing now, although closest to the button appears every so often. |

[/ QUOTE ] It doesn't matter to me which way they do it. I just like to see the rules being followed. I actually think it is more fair to chop it down to white chips. Why should I get an extra $5 (if chopping heads up) just because my ace is a certain suit? (Another rule I call people out on that I don't really like is taking money off the table. I feel you should be able to do whatever you want with your money, (I know why the rule exists...) but if I see it, I sometimes will alert the player). Since one post said the dealers don't follow a standard rule regarding chopping pots, I won't bring it up again to a dealer if I see it. |

Re: 5/10 Borgata NL Rule Question
according to at least one shift manager at borg, chips are supposed to be broken down to whites always, no matter how big the game. they dont normally do it in the bigger games but they are supposed to.
