Re: Problem with husband of friend - need advice please
Didn't see this mentioned. If you decide not to go to the police, carrying pepper spray or some other kind of personal protection is probably a good idea. Just don't assume it makes you invincible and keep observing reasonable safety precautions.

DMC,
you have handled this kind of terribly thus far, and from your comments you seem kind of set on continuing in such a stupid manner. |

[ QUOTE ] also, stop being such a [censored]-tease, he obviously thought he had a green light [/ QUOTE ] good point! It's also worth noting that this entire situation could have been completely avoided if you would have at least just blown the guy [/ QUOTE ] lol |

[/ QUOTE ] The first time I read the OP, I thought that DMC was a guy getting hit on by one of his guy friends. It was only in re-reading the post did I notice that she mentions that she's a woman in the very first line. I'm guessing that it's because so much that is posted on here is crap. As a result, I automatically skim every post I open to see if anything interesting jumps out at me. The nitty details end up getting missed as a result. |

Re: Problem with husband of friend - need advice please
[ QUOTE ]
OP, tell her, she may not believe you. You should tell her, you should not see the guy again and make clear his balls are in jeopardy and, yes, your friendship is likely over. Sorry [/ QUOTE ] Yep, this one's gonna test your friendship. I'd tell her. No problem. Spell out exactly what happened. Too many other people in this world to hang out with to put up with this crap. I'd also tell her that's why I will refuse to be anywhere around this A-Hole in the future. Make clear how much he disgusts you, but that you'd still make time for her. If you're going to file a police report, I'd tell her that the next time(hopefully the 1st time since she's back) that you talk to her. That's something she should probably hear from you before the officer is at their door. b |

Re: Problem with husband of friend - need advice please
[ QUOTE ]
Am I the only one who doesn't believe a word of this? [/ QUOTE ] I dont believe it because of this... [ QUOTE ] I ended up kneeing him in his balls, and leaving. [/ QUOTE ] I can't really explain why, but something about that and just leaving without anything else doesn't seem right. I highly doubt the story would of ended just at that if that really did happen. Something about him chasing after her, screaming or more violence sounds about right. Even if he took a knee flush in the balls (which is doubtful in this case), he wouldn't be on the floor unconscious or anything. |

Re: Problem with husband of friend - need advice please
I read 22 replies before realizing that OP is a woman. I sort of just skimmed that first sentence. Then I saw all these, "next time she might not get away" and was like wtf husband obviously preys on dudes.
Man that was a weird 20 minutes. |

I don't know about the timing of the calls between you and her, but consider emailing her a link to this thread?
