Re: NL100, common spot with NFD
[ QUOTE ]
Raise is probably standard, but calling is definitely good seeing as you keep lower fds in, have position, pot is big already etc. I guess raising is only obviously better if you think they can fold a Q often. [/ QUOTE ] CO bets 12 into 13 into 3 people on a drawy board then folds? Unpossible! IMO FE = 0 here. If the ace is live you have 12 outs so wouldn't that make a shove just EV+ anyway? edit: and also is preflop standard for everyone veruss unknowns, I mean I know we have position but seems kinda loose |

Re: NL100, common spot with NFD
I absolutely detest raising the flop. Now I was at the table with tubasteve, so my opinion maybe skewed. But, UTG was basically a semi-donk that would never fold Q-x here (x>9). So basically you're playing for stacks here almost everytime and if you raise here you're almost committed on turn so you have to push the turn no matter what. While if you still call, you can get a lot more value if your flush hits or you can get rid of it on the turn very cheaply if you wish.

I like just calling. UTG raiser leads into two players, he prob doesnt have anything worse than AQ/KQ. We are getting pretty good odds to call. [/ QUOTE ] ya, UTG is showing strength on a flop that isnt good for cbetting, you have no reason to believe he will really fold much, i will raise here sometimes, but generally i like a call in this spot also - man, you got a new computer you must be a balla |
