Two KJs hands flopping top pair on raised pots. What to do?
First hand:
Opponent is 18/16/3.5 over 200 hands and I don't have much history against him. Was my Flop decision right? What should I do on turn when he pushes? Re: Two KJs hands flopping top pair on raised pots. What to do?
i'd fold preflop, call flop, and fold turn in the first one.
in the second one i'd fold preflop, and c/c flop and reevaluate. given your c/r, i guess i'd fold to his 3bet but feel gross. |

Re: Two KJs hands flopping top pair on raised pots. What to do?
Fold them both PF, especially the second where you're OOP. As played float the first one, fold to a turn bet. The second pretty much illustrates why you should have folded PF: your CR turns your hand into a bluff and just calling is pretty sick because he's going to double-barrel you frequently with better hands and draws.

call turn in hand 1, in the second hand don't raise the flop if you aren't comfortable getting it in

I would just stop playing so loose. This would make your post flop decisions a lot easier.

Re: Two KJs hands flopping top pair on raised pots. What to do?
Results:
Hand 1: I made the (dumb) call and Opp showed 87s (no flush draw) so I took it down. Hand 2: I folded but on second thought I would have had to call 400 to win 900 which means I only have to be right 30% of the time. I guess I only beat a bluff. |
