Or this, lol

Preflop: Hero is CO with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP raises, Hero 3-bets, 3 folds, MP calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets, MP calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets, MP raises, Hero 3-bets, MP calls.

River: (10.75 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets, MP raises ...

Hero thinks, "If I go down with this hand, I'll go in style. Nobody will ever say I just called with quads: I raise." Hero 3-bets, MP caps (woops), Hero calls. One more good story to post. Villain shows KK, My Hand Is Good!

Oh, $1/2... It has come down to that; I've sunk deep. If it had been $30/60 I would've just called. I think the river value bet when checked to is still ok, right? Felt most like an overpair. On the other hand, he didn't cap preflop, but heads-up that doesn't exclude big pairs. However, I'd rate his overall play in this hand as "retarded".

One reason I don't like NL: what if he'd donk the river all-in on this hand? Obviously, had it been (deepstacked) NL, I would check the river behind when checked to.

Here's one from last night's 8/16 live game that almost was:

Maniac guy raises PF UTG gets a few callers. Flop comes AA7 2 hearts, UTG bets, HU with girl on my right who raises,
Maniac calls. Turn is another A, UTG smiles and says "I check it to you" Girls checks, River is the 8h, UTG maniac checks, Girl checks, Maniac flips over KK for the boat, girls flips over A6 of hearts for quads but her hand doesn't qualify for the JP cause of her 6 kicka

DOH!

I'm missing why you didn't 4-bet the turn and lead the river... UTG looks like he's got a FD you can get another bet from on the turn, and you could probably b/cap the river if he makes it.

i think you should cap the turn. most hands that are 3betting are calling if you cap and we're already on a big bet street. the pot's around 15bb and people will call with any sort of hand. throw in the two flushdraws and the fact that people get donkish with marginal made hands on paired boards, and we likely come ahead capping right away.

IF i called the turn as you did, i'm bet/3betting the river. if UTG has a showdownable hand, by donking you can get him to put a bet in before CO(hopefully) raises allowing us to 3bet.
