Pickem league with Head2Head component

I'm in a large pickem league (NCAA and ATS) where we pick the top 25 games each week with confidence points, where the winner gets 60% of the pool for that week and the 40% rolls to a final season payout 50-30-20. I also have a head to head sidebet with a friend each week for the same amount as the weekly entry. How does the sidebet change my strategy for picking each week, if at all?
