Has the world started visiting Florida yet?
So, I've been to Hard Rock in Tampa, St Pete Dog Track, and Silks Card Room, Oldsmar. I go about once or twice week ever since poker limits and games were changed. Funny thing is the same people are there, even some of the old timers of $2 bingo poker.
I was thinking that with the new poker limit rules, the sharks world wide or atleast within the US would be in a frenzy in by now. But I haven't seen it. I've run into a few regulars that I know are 2+2'ers, and I try not to tangle with these guys out of respect of course. I have not had a losing session as of yet (knocking on simulating wood) playing 1/2 NL. The most I have have won is a little over $300 in just over two hours, the least I've won is $10 in just over 2 hours. And I don't let anyone know I'm a 2+2'er, not that it would matter. If things don't change soon, (ie. Better gambling laws for Florida) Christ can kiss a second term good-bye because some of his opponents are coming out of the wood work to stop the expansion of true casino gambling. Anyhow, my 2.5 cents. (Hint - I'm the guy with a different Florida Gator hat and an Ipod listening to E.S. Posthumus everytime I play) P |

Re: Has the world started visiting Florida yet?
Soon. But I did see Phil Laak(sp) and his Espendiri(sp) friend at the Isle a few nights ago. I heard they ate at the Steak House. We yelled across the room saying we had 2 open seats, they asked "what game"? we yelled 1/2 NL, Phil stuck his finger up in the air (more) he meant I think lol. Someone mentioned they are filming a show down here.

Has the world started visiting??? THAT"S HYSTERICAL [/ QUOTE ] What's so funny about that? No one went to Florida before the 100 max NL came to fruition. Trust me, just ask Disney, Universal, the beaches, the trailer parks for retirees, ect... NO ONE went to florida before they got that thing called no limit pokah that's on tv. |

Re: Has the world started visiting Florida yet?
I have a 176 hours, $1840 winnings(after rake, tips, drinks ect...). Lost a $520 pot Quads over Boat, lost a $440 pot Nut flush beat by a straight flush back to back days I feel I should have better earnings right now. I will continue to contend a $15+ winrate for a solid player is very attainable over the long run. $15/hr is peanuts for many of you but not for many of us Broward residents. I believe the new casinos in Pompano and Coconut Creek coupled with some new laws will vitalize this area that really needs it.
