I don't see the big deal here--our government is still spending more than it is receiving in revenues, but now the gap is less. I would also be careful with those numbers--I believe social security reciepts are included in that number and the "supplemental war spending" things which are separate, are also not included.

Numbers don't lie--they just lie what's in the numbers.

The people on this board favor abstract arguments, and are well beyond these "numbers" with absolutely no relevance.

The world is falling apart, and there's no reason to argue otherwise.

[/ QUOTE ]

Is this sarcastic? I honestly can't tell.

Is your position that Democrats are worse, or is your position that the Democrats spend more money when in office?

Because, while you're entitled to the first, you're not just going to get away with parroting Rush on the second.

Face it dude I'll believe whatever I want no matter if the actual data shows it to be in error.

FYP.

(Incidentally, I'm not a Dem.)

And by the way, thanks for the insult. I have a job, thank you, and if you want to compare jobs, PM me.

He started an OP in a politics forum regarding federal spending, but he doesn't want to hear about actual spending data. Seems to be an intellectually honest sort of fellow.

[/ QUOTE ]Yeah. I hate ideals and I think everything is going to be just fine, as it almost always has throughout human history. Fundamental solutions to non-fundamental problems will merely impede progress.

Man, too bad Clinton didn't try to do anything about this....

Yeah, good thing he didn't balance the budget by gutting the military and leave it to the next administration to pay to catch up or anything.
