NLCASH QQ on really scary board
Just started playing villain. Stacked him two hands earlier when he had KK and I had AA. He played that hand really tricky, just calling my 3-bet pre and on flop and then getting it in when a fd hit on the turn.
What do I do on the turn? Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (2 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver) Hero ($220) Button ($112.40) Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, Q. Button calls $0.50, [color=#CC3333]Hero raises to $6</font>, Button calls $4. Flop: ($11) J, 8, 9 [color=#0000FF](2 players)</font> [color=#CC3333]Hero bets $10</font>, Button calls $10. Turn: ($31) 9 [color=#0000FF](2 players)</font> [color=#CC3333]Hero bets $25</font>, [color=#CC3333]Button raises to $75</font> |

Re: NLCASH QQ on really scary board
Why are you betting the turn if it's a scary board?
C/C turn, C/C most rivers. |

Re: NLCASH QQ on really scary board
But if I c/c turn and river he will get it in every time he has a 9 while he may check a J behind. I also want to protect against a T.
Wouldn't c/c be way too weak against a tricky player? |

Re: NLCASH QQ on really scary board
If I'm betting here im folding to a raise... however against some opp's ill make a weakish bet to hopefully induce a bluff raise.
You don't really need to protect against a T, they only have 4 outs to a straight. And btw he didn't play the KK hand that tricky. |

Re: NLCASH QQ on really scary board
Ok, Thanks for the response.
Well imo he palyed the KK hand really bad. He called my bet on Js4s4x flop and then instapushed the nine of spades hit. Is this not tricky? What am I calling with that he beats that I wouldn't call with on the flop? |

Re: NLCASH QQ on really scary board
I think betting turn is fine for value vs most (weak) opponents. As played I fold to the raise.
I think checking is also fine, esp if your opponent is good. Thats more for pot control. |
