Re: Barcelona/London plans (for those travelling the EPT this fall)
argh, wtf is housekeeping doing knocking on my door at 9pm.
anyways so i go to some mall here today and i've never been so confused in my life. i finally find a bank and the most they'll exchange for me is 300 euro worth/day. [censored]. hopefully there are some big banks downtown or something that can accomodate me. I'll have to check out the casino too - maybe the exchange rate wont be thaaaaaat bad. i'll find out about the laundry i guess tomorrow i need to get some done as well. I havn't been to the casino, but from what ive read I think you are looking at jeans + collared shirt + non tennis shoes at the min. also, dont try to flag cabs down in front of the hotel, you just look stupid and it doesn't work. There's a cab stop in front of the casino 2 blocks away. |

Re: Barcelona/London plans (for those travelling the EPT this fall)
ok just checked out the casino, looks like tshirt+jeans+random shoes will be fine.
the poker room sucks, well it's pretty small and pretty much a part of the main casino floor. games running: 30/60 limit, 2/5nl wtih 300 max buyin, 10/20 plo with 1k max, 5/10 plo with some stupid max as well. Maybe 10 tables total (only a fw running tonight). Hopefully they spread some better [censored] when the tourney rolls around. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] EPT london location: http://www.europeanpokertour.com/vic...Directions.pdf WSOPE location: http://www.multimap.com/maps/?&hloc=...H7NA|WC2H%207NA they're pretty far apart. at the very least an underground ride + a walk. Dunno anything about housing near each, but anything near an underground could work - some rides longer than others obv. It's not too hard to have a half hour underground ride tho. [/ QUOTE ] There no more than 20 minutes walk away from each other. I have no idea how much you guys would be willing to spend, but London propery is very, very expensive these days and that includes short lets. Central London is particularly bad. I suggest areas on the fringe of the centre like Earls Court. [/ QUOTE ] are there going to be places to rent around here? any suggestions on where to look? Are we going to get ripped off on the internet, or is it all just gonna be [censored] expensive? [/ QUOTE ] yah those are close together and very central. i live really close to both |

Re: Barcelona/London plans (for those travelling the EPT this fall)
Can anyone recommend a place to stay during the EPT London? Anybody want to share accommodation somewhere? I'm thinking of coming but don't want to shell out thousands on a room.
