been playing for about an hour. i've had control of the game, raising my button more often than normal. he's been calling oop about 15% of the time. this is only the second time he's repopped preflop (the first was about 5 hands in).
stacks 1k 5/10 nl i raise to 30 with kk. he repops to 110. reraise a bit, shove or call? |

There's 2 ways of looking at it, I guess. Since villain hasn't been 3-betting much, he may have a stronger range and will happily call a 4-bet. That said, I know plenty of villains who 3-bet like 1% of hands and those hands are like Q4s and K8o which obviously instamuck against a 4-bet. Overall I'm inclined to just call in this spot and c/r a ton of flops.

i like calling.
if he has something he's felting preflop, he's going to stack off postflop (except missed ak but you still get his c-bet)... if he's making a move, you'll still get the c-bet when you repop him post flop without history/reads/being deep i dont think 4b button is right |

If hes not an idiot than calling is clearly best, he knows he has only 3bet once this hour, if you 4bet unless you look like a maniac your going to be killing all your action except from QQ+ IMO.

since he knows you are opening alot he might be 3betting due to frustration, so just calling 100bb deep is probably the go.

you've been raising liberally and he has only repopped you twice in an hour. if hes sick of it he hasn't shown he is willing to take charge but he might be willing to make a passive overcall. an hour is a long time for 2 repops

I'd prob 4b smallish. As he hasn't been 3betting much at all I think he prob has a good hand that he won't mind getting it in with pre and their are plenty of scare cards for both of you that can come (if he has TT/JJ obv any overcard he shuts down and you have to be wary on Axx flops) to kill your action.
Prob make it 260-280 |

not intending to hijack this thread but i was just wondering...
many of you are saying to just call PF and RR the flop to get it in, this is 5/10 NL, would you play it differently at 50? (i'm having great success at the low stakes games so far) i would probly just repop and hope to get it allin, do the stakes influence your decisions in spots like this? thanks in advance and sorry for the hijack |
