JJ 3bet oop on low card flop
villain was a 40/12/.8 after 50 hands. What is his range after calling a 3bet and raising the flop?

Re: JJ 3bet oop on low card flop
Raise more preflop. You either want to take this pot now or charge him a steep price to enjoy his positional advantage. You're giving him nearly 2.5:1 odds to call with this raise. The pot is $0.85 after your call, so you probably want to raise a little more than the pot. $1.35 or $1.50 might be a more appropriate raise. Also a full pot bet is appropriate on the flop, given the texture.
As played, I put his range on basically 44-AA, AhTh-AhKh, KhQh. You're about a 3:2 dog to this range (not quite). If you go all in and get called (which you will), you're risking $7.32 vs $12.37, so slightly over 3:2 pot odds. Pushing is +EV vs this range, so it's definitely +EV if you include a 5-10% for a random bluff with AQo or something. |
