200 NL. My top 2 gets raised on the river. I feel like throwing up.
Villain is like 35/12, but he has laid down a big hand against me earlier in the session.

Re: 200 NL. My top 2 gets raised on the river. I feel like throwing up
this plays pretty much exactly like 56 or 78, both definitely in his range...occasional low set...don't see a bluff here too often...2:1 on the call...i'm not quite sure what i'd do here actually. it REALLY looks like 56 a lot of the time. tight spot, could go either way because of his donk-like pf stats.

Why on earth did u bet this river? What worse hands call? All i can think of is 42 and maybe some other funky two pair, but not sure if J4s or 84s are in his range...
As played, just fold. |

[/ QUOTE ] Fish will call with all kinds of hands. This guy is pretty loose, and I haven't made a big bet on the river. The only real draw got there, so I don't feel like I'm going to get raised as a bluff here. I just need to decide whether or not he's raising for value with a worse hand. Are you advocating check/folding the river? |

I just dont see villain calling with A8 or similar, but hey, if thats your read, then leading is fine. |

Fold because he has 56. Also, c/f is better than c/c, but the vbet seems like the best play to me also.

Re: 200 NL. My top 2 gets raised on the river. I feel like throwing up
Check the river, are you kidding me? MP1 doesn't have 84s or J4s, he's not in the blinds! Granted he's running 35 VPIP, but those just aren't hands that anybody plays in middle position. He has something that does beat us, which is why we should fold. Hero showed three streets of solid aggression and yet villain still decided to put it all in on the river.
The only way I would call this is if villain has splashed around a LOT lately and lost a few big hands or reloaded, shown down some real garbage in a medium/large pot...some way you can tell he's playing on tilt. But if he's just your average joe LAG villain or whatever, let it go. |
