350 BB deep against a maniac/fish
Playing against a bigtime fish, but he's a bigtime maniac too. Prior to this hand, there are certainly a couple hands of note that deserve consideration.
One hand, i raise QQ and get 3bet from SB. I call flop and turn and raise river with 5 undercards, he instacalls my raise w/ k2o for bottom pair. BTW very next hand he's AI for 100bb w/ a6o and obv spikes his flush on river. Another hand I push AI on river w/ turned straight and he instacalls again w/ top pair. this one was the thrid time he'd tried to minbet flop, turn and river to stop me from raising and i just felt like he was getting tired of being pushed aroudn. I also tried a semibluff on turn w/ ATd on 2 diamond board and he called down w/ AQo npnd. Pretty much, this guy is a station and I learned that bluffing in any form is just taking my money and wiping my ass with it. On to the hand: I haven't seen this type of aggression yet. Btw, I 4bet like a fish. there's no excuse, i just thought he might 5bet small too bc that's what fish like doin', right? Please disregard pf, i know i played it really bad, i dunno, anyways on to the hand NEW HAND Seat 1: Fao_Lustra ($84.25) Seat 2: Hero($374.41) Seat 3: LeftyMcDog ($64.35) Seat 4: caspe1spain ($64.50) Seat 5: maizeandblue ($55.50) Seat 6: Villian ($530.95) caspe1spain: posts the small blind $0.50 maizeandblue: posts the big blind $1.00 --- DEALING POCKETS hero is dealt [Ac,Ad] villain: raises $1.00 to $2.00 Fao_Lustra: folds hero: raises $4.50 to $6.50 LeftyMcDog: folds caspe1spain: folds maizeandblue: folds villain: raises $4.50 to $11.00 hero: raises $4.50 to $15.50 villain: calls $4.50 --- DEALING FLOP [3c,7h,7c] caspe1spain: has left the table Portland has joined the table villian: bets $32.50 hero:, it's your turn. You have 10 seconds to act hero: calls $32.50 --- DEALING TURN [8s] villian: it's your turn. You have 10 seconds to act villian: it's your turn. You have 5 seconds to act villian: goes all in $482.95 What's my action and what is your reasoning? Sorry if i haven't provdided enough reads. this guy is bad, but he hasn't shown this kinda crazy aggression yet. hopefully the prior hands will give some input as to what he's like. |

Re: 350 BB deep against a maniac/fish
God that 5-bet makes me want to puke. Huge fish just 4-bet you, and you min 5-bet. Given your read, a huge 5-bet shove would have been pretty awesome. That 5-bet on the other hand is just plain gross.
As played, I really don't think you can fold this. You'll see KK/QQ or worse way more often than a seven. |

Re: 350 BB deep against a maniac/fish
Given your read I think this is a call. He could be doing this w/ any overpair. Sometimes he'll have 88 or a 7, but I can't see folding given villians history.
Also, raise flop. |

Call. This guy thinks 99 is the nuts but he doesn't want to see any overcards on the river.
