Re: Laundry tips (washing hats?)
So how do you put them in the dishwasher? With the plastic frame thing or just loose? Normal dishwasher cycle?

[/ QUOTE ] I typically put the hat in loose on the top shelf of the dishwasher - the little plastic dividers give it enough support. I've usually just gone with the normal cycle and regular dish soap. |

Re: Laundry tips (washing hats?)
Incidentally, if you don't want to go out and buy one of those hat dryers, you can invert an appropriately-sized saucepan and put the hat on that to dry. It should maintain the shape pretty well.

Clothes washer isn't a good idea. Every time I've done that it messes up the hat. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Laundry tips (washing hats?)
Just soak them in warm water in the sink for an hour with a litte clothes detergent and then knead the dirt/sweat spots with your fingers or an old toothbrush. Then air dry. Should come out like new.

Re: Laundry tips (washing hats?)
I got one of these as a stupid gift a few years ago, but it seems to work pretty well. Pop the hat in & toss it in with a load of laundry.

has anybody put scotchbrite on their hats right away when they're new? [/ QUOTE ]I had the guy do that last time I bought a hat, but I haven't worn it enough for it to matter. However I wish I had done it with a few other hats I have. I don't know about ya'll, but my hats get the sweat stains especially after a few games of softball. |
