KK Overpair Vs. Tag
Villain is about a 20/18 tag, from what I know from him he is rather aggressive but generally does not play big pots without a strong hand.

In terms of SPR, this is a tough flop situation that probably could have been avoided, but I'm here now so I have to make the best of it. Should I just play for stacks off the flop? |

Re: KK Overpair Vs. Tag
how confident are you that hes a TAG regular? B/C if he is then you're boned and you can fold the turn, though i wouldnt hold it against you if you called.

Re: KK Overpair Vs. Tag
bet more on flop... and i kinda feel like you guys are crazy for advocating so strongly to fold here. I mean it does suck we got the kk and takes a way alot of semibluffing hands but still idk.... Does His checkraise and follow through on turn ( and range that implies) scare you so much? Or is it his bet sizing?

[/ QUOTE ] on boards like this and KQ9, 986, etc. is that there are several huge hands that crush you. it's not like a Q83 flop where AA effectively beats everything but a set. not only that but people aren't going to play KJ as strong on JT7 than they would on J62 esp oop. so you got both those things working against you when you have only one pair |

Re: KK Overpair Vs. Tag
BB is aggressive. Why does he flat call the preflop raise oop rather than 3 bet? What is his range for calling? 99-QQ and big suited A's? His c/r says I have a hand and I don't mind playing a big pot against you. I don't hate the flop call, but the turn lead by him represents a huge hand. It is time to fold.

[/ QUOTE ] yeah i just threw that in there to illustrate that even if he had something weird like that now and then its still a fold. completely agree that you never see that. |
