Why no check call river? [/ QUOTE ] Agree 100%. I actually don't like your play at all. Totally represents you beat. |

Re: NL2/4. like my line?
Check/call river here is better. As played you need to really have your opponent on air to call the river, you probably lose here pretty often.

Re: NL2/4. like my line?
I'd rather bet smaller and call his raise or check/call the river.

Re: NL2/4. like my line?
I don't mind the value bet (I wouldnt mind check calling either), but I absolutly hate calling after he raises you.

I prefer a flop lead and would fold to river-raise as played.

Re: NL2/4. like my line?
[ QUOTE ]
Like I said on MSN, i think that the river bet has little to no value vs worse hands (except maybe JT), except for inducing a bluff (which is a good thing if we call, as we should). As a result, I think that c/c the river might be better, as we have no idea if he's tricky enough to bluff raise the river, while we know that a lot of villains will happily bluff the riuver. Reason for this is that if you check the river, your range is pretty wide. If you lead the river, your range is almost entirely jacks (and the odd time a boat/king) [/ QUOTE ] I agree. Betting the river seems to be too thin. The check/call will also induce bluffs. Bluff-raising at 2/4, IMO is not that prevalent. |
