i think it's been said, but i'll say it for emphasis: open-limping sucks major balls. raise pf.

as played, his turn check is really weird, i cant really put him on 2pr or the straight here, so i guess it looks like either an open-ended staight draw or a top pair/gutshot combo hand. i bet ~3/4 pot, because you want him to continue with the hand. the overbet shuts him out and maybe even folds 2pr, which you def don't want.

I've ran into a similar situation a while ago at $1/2 live 10 max game in Las Vegas. I flopped middle set and got mincheckraised on the flop by a very tight player. At that point I assumed he had the nuts. He then checked the turn and I checked behind. On the river he checked again! and mincheckraised me LOL.

In the case of playing his straight draw fast, did he bet the turn? You way overplayed your hand by going all in on the turn. The money still might have ended up in the pot but you gave the villain an easy way to get away from two pair if that is what he had instead. Remember that this was a limped pot so the BB could have any 2 cards. When I get checkraised, the first thing I think is the nuts.
