Re: Gulf Coast Poker Championship (WPT)
All I can say is that the trip to Biloxi will cost me twice as much as the one to Tunica. I'd rather be spending my money on poker, than on travel and hotel rooms.

If you are hot then you can stay in my room and all of our food is comped as well. In fact, you wouldn't have to pay for anything except poker. Oh, and I would need you to provide full body massages on demand. Let me know. |

[/ QUOTE ] We have a total of 81 tables, 65 in the conference room upstairs, and 16 in the main room downstairs. 891 total seating if we go 11 handed. We can also get alternates in for the first hour ( about 100-150), which leads me to believe we can accomodate around 1,000 players in each field. Goat, I think the example that puts 485 in the prize pool is the coorect one. Donna is still taking reservations for all dates except the holiday weekend. All 400 poker rate rooms are sold out. an average of 1.5 players per room, means about 600 players are staying onsite that weekend, not counting offsite players, players not in the poker blocks, and drive in business. Around 800-1000 players for the prelims sounds good.... JG Johnny, it looks like this post was a response to my quesiton or at least it answers part of my question. However, I would still like to know about the registration period. Will I be able to register for the sunday event that morning when I arrive or will I have to be an alternate? Thanks |

Unless you like older women (like upper 40's), and you like women with curves (aka your a chubby chaser as I've heard guys refer to it), I don't think you'd be interested in someone like myself. Re: Gulf Coast Poker Championship (WPT)
playing 11 handed tables should be illegal in a tournament. Did that at WSOP in 2006, will never travel to a tournament that does that. Big mistake!!!!!!!!!

Re: Gulf Coast Poker Championship (WPT)
While I have no problem with allowing alternates the first hour, I also agree with Gary, 11 handed is BAAAAD, and IMO, shows signs of greed on the part of those running the event (more juice for them).
