Re: Round 2: CTS vs KRANTZ today 6pm EST
a general offer to no specific person should require confirmation from both people to each other.
an offer to one person will only require confirmation from the offeree, unles the offerer revokes it, first. |

Re: Round 2: CTS vs KRANTZ today 6pm EST
Sorry this is gonna be a bit of a ramble, on the tailend of a pretty long hu session.
1)I thought he was referring to ansky with "will bet up to 5500 no krantz at 1.1. just reply with an amount and consider it booked" If some unknown/grim whatever tried to make a bet would it be considered booked? 2)My first thought when cts lost was "good thing he didn't book it" I meant to put a question mark at the end of my post to fwf to show I wanted confirmation, but I guess that was my fault so I am kind of to blame 3) FWIW fwf had basically told me "w/e you dont owe me anything" but I felt like a bit of an ahole so I I thought giving him a 'freeroll on GOF vs AJ (and letting him choose his horse) was a reasonable solution. edit: more importantly, got some good karma. dude donks off 7k to end our hu session |

[ QUOTE ] tramb, the fact that you guys never confirmed it, in my mind, makes the bet null. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not taking money from either of them, talked it over with them and i think it's obvious neither thought the bet was on. KingDan is giving me a freeroll bet where if GOG beats AJ I get 1k otherwise I don't owe anything to assuage his conscience. [/ QUOTE ] Pretty stand up thing to do. nice to see. For that the Dalai Lama says you will receive total consciousness on your death bed. |

[ QUOTE ] someone should lay down some rules for what constitutes as a bet that is ON [/ QUOTE ] i think people are more or less 100% in agreement that both people saying "booked" or similiar constitutes that a bet is on. [/ QUOTE ] |

[/ QUOTE ] This is a pretty solid rule IMO ... saying "i'm offering up to z $ 1:1 on x against y, plz state amount and consider it booked" doesn't seem like a valid offer to me. No one is going to book a bet against any random poster. That would be really different if a certain person offers to a certain other person. |
