I'm not really sure what to make of this.

Full Tilt Poker
$55+5 6-max No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t80/t160
3 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
Villain: t4900
SB: t2575
Hero: t1525

Pre-flop: (3 players) Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Villain calls t160 <font color="aaaaaa"></font>, SB calls t80 <font color="aaaaaa"></font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises all-in t1525</font>, Villain calls t1365 <font color="aaaaaa"></font>, SB folds.

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (t3210, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: t3210)

Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (t3210, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: t3210)

River: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (t3210, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: t3210)

Results:
Final pot: t3210
Button showed 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero showed J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and won (3,210) with a straight, Jack high

Later, this happened. My push isn't great and I definitely should have folded it in retrospect because the third player was awful too, but it's not terrible not matter what he's calling with and is definitely +$EV if I give him any credit for not being retarded.

Blinds: t120/t240
3 players

Stack sizes:
Button: t1575
Hero: t2530
Villain: t4895

Pre-flop: (3 players) Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Button folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises all-in t2530</font>, Villain calls t2290 <font color="aaaaaa"></font>.

Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (t5060, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: t5060)

Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (t5060, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: t5060)

River: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (t5060, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: t5060)

Results:
Final pot: t5060
Villain showed K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and won (5,060) with two pair, Kings and Fives
Hero showed A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and lost with a pair of Eights

Here's the best part: Villain's Sharkscope stats show he is a solidly-winning player, so I have to ask wtf? Metagame? DonkeyRunhot?

6-max SNG results
Villain n=498 AvStake=$32 ROI=13% net=$3,259

[/ QUOTE ]At first I thought misclick, but two against the same opponent is tough to justify. I've make crazy plays like this because of misclicks before.

how can hellmuth be so bad at gambling and get where he is. He either lost it somewhere along the way, or he is the luckiest man alive.

Huh... that got me thinking, most the USP-I guys don't play SNGs anymore and haven't for some time. I don't even know who plays SNGs anymore. Who would you most like to see play a $2k SNG if it were to be held again? That's not necessarily the "best" players, just those who you'd like to see play, see their hole cards, and see how they respond to the field.

bones (gotta have the defending champ no matter what)
z32fanatic
bigjoe
jhub3000
pudge714
Shillx
Sheets
Jennifear

EDIT: Gramps too.

I think it would be good to have Phil Gordon there, you know, to give bones some real competition.

I'd pay 5% of Gordon's entry fee to get him to play an sng with me.

OK, we can start 9-handed and play it this way. It would be even better as a $10k.

bones
z32fanatic or bigjoe
jhub3000
pudge714
Shillx
Sheets
Jennifear
Gramps
Phil Gordon

Sheets and Jennifear I want in there as successful high/low limit SNG players whose play I haven't had much of a chance to evaluate and whose strategy discussions I haven't really seen. Phil Gordon can represent the "live pros." Eric Frohlich would make a better choice as far as skill is concerned, but it just wouldn't be as interesting as watching Phil Gordon get crushed by the heavy end of that lineup.
