Re: First hand at the table....
You need to bet somewhere before the river to protect your hand.

Re: First hand at the table....
Make a continuation bet on the flop. If he doesn't have an ace, a big draw, or better, you'll take it down. If he doesn't fold, you can slow down and c/f the turn.

Re: First hand at the table....
Def bet out here - there's no gurantee at all that he has an ace - that said, if he raises you, you can probably go ahead and muck (although he could be raising with a draw for a free card, it's too likely that he has an ace).
If he flat calls your flop bet, you can reevaluate later - this is an awful board for your kings, I probably close up shop in this particular hand. |

Re: First hand at the table....
How to play KK on a A high flop? gets discussed quite frequently, and in many situations you're better off checking to induce a bet from JJ+. So with the A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] out on the flop, i don't think he already has a flush draw, and i like your flop check. But if you check the flop, you must bet that turn. If he has a (misplayed) Ace with no spades, he'll have to fold, and if he has a medium pocket pair with a spade, he might call.

Re: First hand at the table....
I donīt know about checking flop here. Against more than 1 opponent or maybe on higher tables this might be good, but at NL50 you take the pot down with a bet much more then 50% (vs 1 Op).

[/ QUOTE ] Just because you take it >50%, doesn't necesarily make it the best play. For example, if Villain has QQ-TT, you might induce a bet or call here from a hand with few outs. The way this panned out, I would bet the turn, as you now have to charge a hand with a decent spade. |

Re: NL50: First hand at the table....
Whats your question? Im assuming this did I play this weak? Yes, and so did UTG.

Re: NL50: First hand at the table....
I don't mind OP flop check here, for all the reasons stated in every other KK thread when an ace flops. Betting turn or C-call is ok too. Bet fold river if raised.
