Re: AA 3/6--- 300+ bb deep rr pot.
I don't do it often, but did you think about just smoothcalling his PF raise in position here? You built an SPR (stack to pot ratio, read PNL) of about 11 with AA and that isn't really a good ratio against a good opponent unless he is very straightforward. Smoothcalling gives you advantage of a good hand, position, and you can decide postflop if you want a big pot or not. You lose out if he has KK and would RRR you PF, but with these stacks he is smoothcalling with QQ and KK most likely.
I don't really know what I'd do in this spot since I've not been in it. Is my thinking retarded above or? |

Re: AA 3/6--- 300+ bb deep rr pot.
I think if you can fold to a river check-raise then you can fold to a flop check-raise.
I prefer getting two streets of value on flop and turn to turn and river. Are you calling his river pot when a diamond, Q, K, 9 rivers? If so then you are often letting him catch and then paying off the best hand where he would check-fold river unimproved. |
