Most guidelines I've seen are in the range of 20-30 maximum buyins, which probably works out to $1000-$1500 depending where you play. Keep in mind, that's a general guideline, and also a minimum. There's nothing wrong with having more, especially if you play a loose style that's likely to produce bigger swings in your bankroll.

1000-1600, if you hit 1600 you can take a shot at nl 100, if you lose the move back down and start grind again.

I'd start playing 50nl at 2k. but then again im so tight with my bankroll

if you are decent, 20BI's is fine to start with, then drop down if you go below 15 or so
