if i'm desperate and a burger place is the only thing around, i usually get a grilled chicken sandwich (and throw the bun away, they're quite bad) and a bowl of chili

Probably Asian food, especially Japanese and Vietnamese. Usually very light on sauces, good clean food. You can eat a good amount without feeling weighed down, unless you really go to town on the rice. Things like a stick or two of yakitori is an ideal snack.

Chinese food is often gloppy and overcooked and has very high calorie sauces, plus is often fried, so you have to pick and choose more carefully.

i do try to get olive oil whenever i'm feeling ambitious, you're right this is the really good fat. however, the really bad fat is saturated fat and there's not too much of it in most kinds of russian dressing. def the vast majority of the fat is unsaturated which isn't the bad fat. I prefer (tasewise) russian dressing and it's fairly low in sat fat.

I'm sure that is very dependent on the brand.

A number of people have mentioned things with grilled chicken. I've fortunate enough to work at McDonalds, and the grilled chicken is sprayed with liquid margarine to keep it from sticking to the grill. I checked the label and , yea, that margarine is loaded with trans fat. I try not to put more margarine on that needed, but alot of people will put a ton of that stuff on. The burgers don't have any of that on them though lol
