Call, and if he's got a J just wait for the board to pair on the river ftw.

I'm folding only because of the SB

Re: 50nl - Total mess of an AA hand
Okay, well, you're getting exactly pot odds to call the CO, SB probably froze up due to the scary board, so I call here. No value in a raise since you're not worried about protecting your hand against flush draws (we're behind already a lot here anyway).

Re: 50nl - Total mess of an AA hand
I would put it all in here. You are getting odds to call the CO even if they have the straight and I think you have some FE against the SB.

Re: 50nl - Total mess of an AA hand
This is a mess. I'd say the CO pretty much guaranteed has a straight here. Even in this case, you have 10 outs to a full house on the river.
However, I'd say that you don't really have 10 outs, because the CO's second card is likely a T or higher, and I'll bet at least one, if not both of SB's cards are also 10 or higher. Add this to the risk that SB goes all in behind you, and I think I fold here. |

Re: 50nl - Total mess of an AA hand
A couple of questions:
Is the flop raise standard? If one opponent has two broadway cards, I'm basically a coinflip with them, Say I call the turn, SB calls also, the river's a blank, what's my plan, fold the river to any further betting? |

Re: 50nl - Total mess of an AA hand
I would call, but the situation is irritating. I'm not actually ruling out the possibility that you have the best hand, though, by the way.
Meanwhile, you have zero folding equity against SB. The only better hand he can have is the nuts. (I'm bringing this up only because it got mentioned earlier in the thread.) I'm not sure at all what's best on the flop, but I think I like a call. It's one of those spots where we'd like to protect our hand if it's best, but it's going to be very difficult to drive out a pair plus a J, so the main question is whether or not we have a raise for value, and I'm having doubts and I'm thinking maybe we should try to play for pot control instead. |
