NL100 TT overpair
UTG is 27/24 after only 22 hands. I guess a lot of ppl are gonna say reraise preflop, and thats a fair comment, but considering we didn't, how do you play flop, turn and river?
Blinds: $0.50/$1 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $119.63 CO: $121.37 Button: $50.33 SB: $115.71 Hero: $93.30 Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG raises to $4, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls, Hero calls. Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($16, 4 players) SB checks, Hero bets $14, UTG calls, 2 folds. Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($44, 2 players) Hero bets $28, UTG calls. River: 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($100, 2 players) Hero checks, UTG bets $48, Hero folds. Uncalled bets: $48 returned to UTG. Results: Final pot: $100 |

I squeeze a lot pf.... the rest looks good [/ QUOTE ] squeezing is ok but in a 4-way pot you have great implied odds for hitting a set. we also have the best relative position postflop. |

Re: NL100 TT overpair
You can't really be the flop or turn too much harder, and you do need to bet them. There also isn't much that you can beat on the river (maybe a hopeful lower pp, but unlikely). He might have been calling with overcards, and is now bluffing, but that is the only draw that keeps him around to the river and puts him in the position to bluff. Most likely you're looking at another overpair here.

yea he has jacks here like 80% of the time IMO [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, after seeing all the action I pretty much agree with this - an overpair and probably JJ. I guess I was kinda wondering on the turn play. It seems to me that pretty much no worse hand is ever calling here, if I check i'm really not sure how often i'll get bluffed by a worse hand. After all, he is smooth calling my big lead on the flop with 2 ppl behind him, so I don't think he is calling here with something like AK as often as he might if the pot were HU. Can I consider a check fold on the turn? Maybe with a bet fold on the river if he checks the turn behind? |

Re: NL100 TT overpair
Is a 27/24 playing so passively an overpair ?
I can find a call on this river (but A9 seems the only hand he can value bet ?). [Fold is very good, I think] |
