AQ-high turns a flush draw in position
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
UTG ($105.60) MP ($68.05) Hero ($50) Button ($45.75) SB ($68.60) BB ($4.25) Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG calls $0.50, MP raises to $2, Hero raises to $6, 2 folds, BB calls $3.75 (All-In), UTG folds, MP calls $4. Flop: ($17) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in) MP checks, Hero bets $12.5, MP calls $12.50. Turn: ($42) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in) MP checks, Hero...? MP is 57/34/2.1 BB is 52/22/1 Both just seem to be generally bad, no specific reads. On the flop I figure my hand may well be the best and bet out to protect it. What do you think MP's check-call means? Turn improves my hand quite a bit, but do I want to take a free card or not? Reasons? |

Re: AQ-high turns a flush draw in position
yeah take a free card, if villian is bad he will call you on this blank as well, so no FE so no reason to bet.

Re: AQ-high turns a flush draw in position
If you're reraising this PF (wich I think is fine) you might want to make it a bit bigger, maybe somewhere between 7-8, flop is good, I'd check the turn he's possibly drawing but you have some very strong outs and an A or Q might save you too, if you hit your flush villian wont give you credit for it and can earn you his stack.

Re: AQ-high turns a flush draw in position
Always take the free card here, youve lots of outs, you currently have nothing and your only getting called by a better hand if you bet and folding out hands your probably ahead of that or that you can get value out of on the river

Re: AQ-high turns a flush draw in position
I would take the free card on the TURN and I hate your FLOP bet.
Thant FLOP can help a lof of hands so I don't see any point in betting. 36J flop wold be OK to bet...but BB is olso ALL IN so I don't like it |

Re: AQ-high turns a flush draw in position
Yup, take the free card. It looks like you might be behind to middle/bottom pair or maybe TPWK. MP could also have a straight draw.
Since you are in position, might as well be sure you have the better hand before you bet out. So, wait til the river and see what villain does. |

Re: AQ-high turns a flush draw in position
Why are you bluffing a dry sidepot on the flop?
Now check. |

[ QUOTE ]
Why are you bluffing a dry sidepot on the flop? [/ QUOTE ] Because I may well have the best hand, and if I do, just about any free turn card that I give can change that. The sidepot is also not completely dry. Do you check this flop? |

*grunch*
I would take the freecard as I don't see MP folding anything that he would have been calling the flop with after the 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] hits. U have tested him already, i don't see it necessary after the flop bet as he has shown that he is not going anywhere. |
