call 1, fold 2
1 you see lower 2 pair and pair + straight draw a ton. 2 i guess this is close but i fold since EP raiser is UTG+1 and raised to 4 bb (stars 4bb raise tell ftw) |

[ QUOTE ]
(stars 4bb raise tell ftw) [/ QUOTE ] 4x tell is not particularly helpful here. It tells me that he generally has a hand that he doesn't want action on, doesn't want to see a flop with but is not going to release. Given the subsequent action, perhaps we can now take 99-TT and AQ out of his range, but that still leaves us with JJ+ and lots of AK (if the tell is reliable, somewhat less AA). I just don't see him folding or calling JJ here, but I'd expect a pause, I guess. I think this is really hard/close without reads on SB but I'd probably ship it in. |

i definitely call 1 because of the amt of hands that will use this line that arent AJ/K9, and I fold hand 2 because I'm inclined to put SB on JJ+/AK and MP as 99+, AK and throwing those together makes QQ so marginal that I don't mind passing. im way more worried of SB.

The correct thing to do is to do the thing that clayton said to do. The correct reason to do it is the reason that clayton gave for doing it.

First hand is an easy call IMO...his range is pretty wide, including worse 2pr and combo hands. You'd have to be against a rock of crazy proportions to lay it down.
Hand 2 is probably a fold given how deep you are; you could be against AK and a squeeze, or AK and JJ, but those are best case scenarios. That said, I tend to call in this spot with QQ too often. I auto-muck JJ here though, and AK as well. |
