Re: Too Reckless?
Stakes? FR or 6max? As much info as you can and a nice conversion will get plenty of responses.

Was BB too aggressive? [/ QUOTE ] no. all he did was raise with what is probably the best hand. If he had capped the turn and river, then we may have had a problem. your post is very hard to read. |

Re: Too Reckless?
As was said, use converter in future posts.
The hand was played perfectly. There is no such thing as being too aggressive and bringing more money into the pot with the (most of the time) best hand here. Even if you get beat by a higher flopped flush, it is still the right way to play it. Your raises would also work out to knock UTG and UTG+1 out most of the time. You need to play it strongly, because if another club falls, your hand is in deep trouble. Bastards tagged along here for whatever reason. |

[/ QUOTE ] You wan't to be careful gleefully raising with the 5th nuts. This hand is fine but if SB 3-bet the turn I don't think you'd want to cap it, same with the river. You'd also want to slow down if the board 4-flushed. |

Re: Too Reckless?
Kerowo,
That's not how the hand was played. If board 4-flushes or Hero gets 3-barreled on the turn, Hero hits the brakes and calls down. Too bad straight flush didn't come ... |

[/ QUOTE ] Yea, I didn't want OP thinking "There is no such thing as being too aggressive and bringing more money into the pot with the (most of the time) best hand here." was applicable in all situations. |

No-no-no-no
Yeah, the wording was too strong But it if four-flushes or u get 3-bet, the likelihood the you have best hand is greatly diminished. What I meant was - don't slow down just because you fear that MAYBE SB flopped a bigger flush. Seeing monsters = lots of missed value bets. |

Re: Too Reckless?
My guess was I (BB) probably had best hand on flop. SB being certified maniac one can't guess his hand. I solidly agree I had fifth nuts, which can easily be a very weak gamble. Anyway I'll get hand converter for future posts.
Thanx to everyone. |
