Either you move all-in on the flop or bet 400 intending to fold to a raise. So your decision should have been made earlier. Both plays seem reasonable to me.

If you bet this flop. Call a shove. If you bet this flop bet more.

I think you lose a lot value shoving pf.

Yeah why are we shoving this pf? I guess it makes it easier to play, but you have great position and it's still a solid hand. In general, aren't the only hands calling better hands?

You have to fold to the raise. If you wanted to play it out to the bitter end, you had to shove on the flop IMO. I think you're facing someone who's four-flushed about 75% of the time, and someone who has a pp like 88 99 or TT the other 25% of the time. Either way, it's not a very good spot. You lose 750 chips, but you still have 10BB and the blinds just passed you, so you have some time to find a better spot.

Any reads, btw? Without reads I play it the same. If I knew that he liked to c/r or valued flushdraws a lot, I might check behind. If he knows that you cbet 1/2 pot a lot, he might just feel like you have air and he wants to put some pressure on you, and that might induce me to call.

Generally speaking though, I play it the same.

C-betting sucks if you raise pf, and at this level you will get looked up by an extremely wide range. I think shoving pf is the best play in lower level STTs.
