The pot is seriously too freaking big for this. After he calls your flop bet, seriously, almost half his chips are in the pot. Seriously, you can't fold here. For serious. I'm being super serious about this. Don't fold. Seriously. [/ QUOTE ] Seriously? |

Don't 4bet preflop. Call > 4bet
As played, bet/folding is the worst line you can take on this flop. c/c > c/f > bet/call > bet/fold Edit: Maybe c/f > c/c, depends on villain and other things. |

[ QUOTE ] Expert flop bet to leave yourself room to fold if raised. [/ QUOTE ] Whats he shoving that doesnt have me beat? [/ QUOTE ] I don't see how you can't include QQ in his range. Basically we are putting him in if we play, so it's 2455 total for us to shove him in. 5795 in pot once his remaining chips are in, so we're getting 2.36:1 on the call, which means we need 29.7576% equity. You seem like you are looking for a reason to fold this hand, why? You're looking for monsters, bet more on the flop, don't fold.

I can confirm by what I was told by the other player, he did in fact top set. My problem here was that I just didn't think he was shoving with nothing there. His line smelled exactly like AA to me. I think if I had aces myself, this is a sure call, but really, the only hand I can beat is QQ. Yes, I have a big hand in a big pot, but I thought when he raised, there was simply no way he was bluffing.

Id like to think there are 6 hands he could have, 2 of which you beat( AJs i think can be including in the range too based on his post flop play, QQ) and of course TT, JJ, KK, or AA.
DJKs mathematics above make it seem like a clear call though... |
