The point of my posts is to illustrate the fact that players, in the end, need to protect their own hand. Notice the original post, the player never says he looked away and shouldn't have, Player never says he should have waited for two cards, then capped them, then went to the bag.

I can assure you I have player more poker that the OP, and I have never, ever had my hand killed in this fashion. It is Poker 101 to protect your own hand.

Without that admission, the post, to me, is a whining joke.

Besides - if player in seat 6 mucked his cards next to the cards in seat 5, and the dealer in advertantly killed them both, it would be a dealer error for sure, but not so eggregious. Simple, PROTECT YOUR HAND AT ALL COSTS.
