Re: Brag, my nit roomate is gone and we turned the ac down to 68
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Thinking about it, our stat must read high, because it seems to me that 68 in the winter would be awfully warm for a heavy sweatshirt, sweats, socks, slippers, etc (normal winter house clothes). [/ QUOTE ] Honestly I think people's perception of temperature just changes. In the summer I blast air conditioning in my car to the point where I'm sure if it were winter I'd want to have the heat on, and vice versa. [/ QUOTE ] Ditto. Probably the majority of the people I know who like it really hot grew up where there were cold winters. I'm one of the many I know who grew up in really hot places so now we like it cold. |

Re: Brag, my nit roomate is gone and we turned the ac down to 68
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I live in Louisiana, and Louisiana is a [censored] swamp. [/ QUOTE ] Winnar! Although 90 degrees and 90% humidity is swampy anywhere you are; Iowa, DC, Louisiana, wherever. [/ QUOTE ] That's how it was where I grew up on Guam, like 100% humidity or something, NO breeze almost ever. 80 degrees there feels worse than 100 degrees in a dry climate, especially if you've got any kind of breeze going. When that kind of hot damp air is hanging around there not moving, it's suffocating. |

Re: Brag, my nit roomate is gone and we turned the ac down to 68
[ QUOTE ]
Balllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Does A/C set at 75 actually do anything? Probably better off putting fans in the windows. [/ QUOTE ] Location, location, location. I live in Scottsdale, AZ and it is 113 today. Ballgame tonight (Diamondbacks and some lousy AL team) I'll be alright, but it will be 118 on the field at 6:40pm. Again, FWIW, we left a movie last night at 12:15 am and it had dropped down to 97 degrees......aaaahhhh. Dogmeat [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |

LOL...I remember picking up my sister from work one night in Phoenix, was 2am and down to a sultry 105. Sweet.
Now, in Kingman, I'm sweating at 100....lost my acclimation (sp?) to the heat I guess. T |

Re: Brag, my nit roomate is gone and we turned the ac down to 68
At 75 my palms are always moist and if I start up a session of poker it almost becomes a pain to hold the mouse. I slept a lot better last night too because I could actually have a blanket on myself, and no I'm not fat.

Re: Brag, my nit roomate is gone and we turned the ac down to 68
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] i'm a nit in the winter time cuz you can just throw on some comfy ass sweats but being a nit in the summer time is weak tight gayness. [/ QUOTE ] Word. I live in Kansas so we get the worst of both seasons. I keep my heat at 60 and often turn if off during the day, but during the summer I keep the ac at 69 or 70. [/ QUOTE ] What part of KS? (St. John here) I'm not sure how much leveling is going on, but m+d bitch when I take it down to 76 which is comfortable. When I go over to my best friend's apartment I freeze and he keeps it on 72. WTF at anything below 72. |
