i dont like your line at all here. stabbing when being checked to, checking the turn, and then firing again on the river is very often a bluff and villain probably knows that. flop is fine imo, turn is fine, (unless u feel like 2-barrelling, which may work depending on your reads on villain), but without reads, i check river (or fold if he were to bet) and cut your loss of 2.5 BB's.

i thought the ace on the river represented a good bluff opportunity. it fits the story. im heads up against bb he shows weakness by checking but calls my bluff flop bet saying " i have something" now i check turn bc i have only ace high and now im betting the river for value with my ace high hand. i only try bluffs if they fit a story i think at low levels its tough on the river. he couldn't even beat a middle pocket pair.

No need to bet this river imo. If he was on a draw, you win anyways. If he has a low pair, he MIGHT fold, but your line looks sooooooooo much like a bluff.

If I was villain, I guess I would be worried about A5s or something like that, but NOTHING else. I would have called you with a pair of 4s as well.

i don't like calling pf. but as played, i don't mind the pf stab. after being called, however, i shut down. he's calling you on the flop w/ SOMETHING, either a pair (which beats your deuces) or a FD. the flush doesn't hit on the river, and i think the only hands that call you on the river are the ones that beat you - a busted FD USUALLY won't call and a pair often will, as is this case here. plus, it's still early on and i like to play tight and conserve my chips and not do anything risky (like here, you ended up losing almost 1/4th of your stack).

Would you mind to expand? Not because I feel like you are wrong, but I 'never' openlimp, unless I find the table extremely passive (limping SC, small pp). You may PM if this is too offtopic. You may also not respond at all, just let me know.
