Re: uuuhhhh... whaaaaaat?????
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I vote that they all change their last name to something new, even the kids. Let the kids have a vote. Something cool. On a semi-related note, my father hated his name at birth (Eugene) changed it to Joe, then got sick of that and then a few months after my older brother was born, my dad changed his name to that of my brother. [/ QUOTE ] So... your dad named himself after your brother? Does that still make your brother the junior, or is dad junior? [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure. Apparently my aunt worked in Vegas for whatever the hell office handles these types of things, so he got it super-expedited and everything. This doesn't even count the few years at the peak of his hippie days where he went by "Joe Eagle". |

Re: uuuhhhh... whaaaaaat?????
lol... I'll give him the option of Hunt. I agree.
I kept telling him he should go back to his maiden name and have his kids names hyphenated with his maiden name and the mothers last name... but I don't think he wants even more people to question why his last name chaged. A lot of people don't know he took his wifes name. |

Re: uuuhhhh... whaaaaaat?????
I say he changes back to his original name and has his kids follow suit. The whole point of him taking her name was so that the name could be passed down. Let her try to dupe another chump into taking her name and have more kids.

Re: uuuhhhh... whaaaaaat?????
I guess he got full custody of the kids as well?
May be obvious, but this is a kind of important clarification to me. Hyphenating his name was silly. He could have lived a lie. It's no worse than having a hyphenated name as a guy. |

Re: uuuhhhh... whaaaaaat?????
Thus has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard a man do. Taking on your wife's name is odd, but I can understand kinda, given the family thing and all....it is still wierd though. But to then get divorced and to hyphenate his last name instead of going back to his family given birth name.....No offense to you sir, but your friend might be the most Pooty-poo whipped man on the planet.
Tell your friend to grow a set and go back to his original family name. jm |
