beyond logic
out of curiousity: what is it - what makes me calling that hand down? what pattern works on my subconsciousness. Bet sizes? Timing? Has anyone seen a similar pattern?

Re: beyond logic
No brag, I lost vs QTo. Its not about bad or good playing. its more about pattern. Somewhere between the bets I stopped thinking and called him down. Just want to know why.. e.g.: different bet sizes, and I would have folded.

Re: beyond logic
His bet on the flop is weak, but after that you are getting taken for a ride.

Re: beyond logic
You may have properly felt that villain did not have an ace on the flop enough of the time to merit a fold. That's fine. That's a legitimate read. 40% of the time when he bets here, he has an ace, 60% of the time he has nothing, or whatever. However, if it were just a matter of calling and taking it down at that moment, there would be a lot of value in it.
In your case, you check/called out of position the entire way, even after another overcard hit the board, this time one that fills in possibly the largest portion of BB's pf raise calling range, and you still check/called. Venture a c-bet next time, or at least fold the turn when you play like this. Or, if you're playing against scaredies, lead the turn. Overall though, these kinds of things happen where you think that you've got a bead on subconscious patterns and the guy just "sucks you out in the end." what you have to remember, though, is that he wouldn't have put in another $12 on the turn and $26 on the river if he wasn't holding at least the Ten. |
