Re: Vanguard ETF\'s
I would suggest making your life simpler with just two ETFs:
VTI VEU Figure out the ratio that you want in terms of US/non-US and just buy accordingly. Both are very low expense and will basically cover the whole world. VTI also has a decent dividend. Pufchamp |

Re: Vanguard ETF\'s
It looks pretty good. Here are my changes.
I would take 5% each off the Total Stock and Small-cap and buy a REITs fund. Also, I would change the international growth into international value [small-caps is preferred if any good fund is available]. |

Re: Vanguard ETF\'s
Seriously, how are funds so hard to manage? Isn't it just rebalancing once or twice a year? Is there something I'm totally overlooking here? I'm not trying to be cocky I just really don't understand how/why it is hard.

Re: Vanguard ETF\'s
I like the %s and funds you picked.
In my IRA I'm buying individual stocks rather than mutual funds. |

Re: Vanguard ETF\'s
I'd hold off on purchasing those ETFs right now. The reason is the market is too high and amateur investors, like yourself, are racing to get their money in. Well it's too late. But to Vanguard it doesn't matter, they must buy when you give them their money.
The market will experience a correction here very soon. Once people start crying that the sky is falling is when you put your money in. I'd recommend CDs or some other liquid investment until we get through the inevitable downswing. GL, MrE2All |
