I am going to be dealing cards in a poker game in NY. I was wondering what can happen to me(fine/punishment) if the cops bust it? As much details as possible would be thankful.

[/ QUOTE ]

I would strongly advise against it if you ever think you may be applying for a legitimate gaming license in the future... It will stick to you like forever!

Understood. I thought that many law students/ or med students involved with dealing weed and [censored] as well to make money for school.

I have heard that its a 500 dollar fine for each dealer and they jsut detain you for a bit. Is this true?

Some employees have been charged. Some charges have been dropped. Everyone has a record. You must not care about your career choice if you want to do this.

Thanks for all the advice. The place im going to be dealing at is at a house in a real quiet neighborhood( not in the city) and the clientel are kids 18-23. The shift is max 8 hours, and pays at least 100 bucks a night.

This is only until I can get a paralegal/legal assistant job.

You ask for advice. You get very good advice. You don't like advice. You ignore advice. Why did you ask?

Sounds like a customer base that would be tight-lipped about the club's existence and location.

You are gambling with your future. And if this place has alcohol while the teens are there when you get busted, good luck.

57 views and no help?

[/ QUOTE ]

My only thought when I opened this thread is you were going to be listing the dangers.

A simple restructing or the subject would probably have gotten replies quicker than a mere 57 views. Something along the lines of..."What are the dangers of dealing underground games?" or something to that effect. The ... lead me to believe you were going to follow it up with a listing.
