[ QUOTE ] A - the Yankees have been drafting horribly [/ QUOTE ] cano? kennedy? wang? tabata? hughes? clippard? jesus montero? (although montero was signed internationally - not drafted) i would say things don't look so bad [/ QUOTE ] cano- international free agent wang- international free agent tabata- international free agent monterro- international free agent kennedy- drafted last year, which i believe qualifies as "recently" clippard- jury is still out, by "drafting well" are we talking about developing guys who make an appearance? hughes is the winner here, obv. i think its a confirmation that their drafting has been ass nasty if clippard is your second best example |

I don't really hate the Yankees, but as a Jays fan this is a good time to rub it in your faces before Phil Hughes and Clemens come back and you start doing well. Also if we lost this game my hatred for John McDonald would increase exponentially.

The Yankees are pathetic right now. That's the only word for it. Five hits again tonight, two key errors, a steal of home. Pathetic.

From the replays I've seen, that's just great baserunning on Hill's part - reading Pettite's motion to a tee, knowing that he takes his eye off home gives him a full second advantage on his break. |

Pettitte seemed oblivious to what was happening. ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Sorry to post in a baseball thread (won't let it happen again), but I saw this and the reason I suspected they gambled is that there was zero percent chance that Royce Effing Clayton was going to deliver a hit in that spot. Forget stats, it just wasn't happening. Think Kevin Bass in game six of the 1986 NLCS against Orosco or whomever. Sometimes you just know. So take matters into your own hands and send the guy. |
