[ QUOTE ] Evan, What phone? I know for the Q, Qusers.com is a good site for information about software and such. There is a tutorial on how to put a nintendo emulator on there, which I think is cool. Im sure the procedure is similar for any other windows based phone. [/ QUOTE ] I have an NES emulator on my Q. It's pretty sweet. [/ QUOTE ] I have a Q and Google Maps and Pocket Nester are both awesome. Resco Registry is great if you want to do any reg hacks. Oh, and for anyone with a Q, Candlelight is a must for extending battery life. |

EC, I have a Blackjack. As far as I know any Windows Mobile 5 compatible software should work. [/ QUOTE ] this isn't really true, lots of wm5 stuff depends on having a touch screen. opera mobile is the best browser I've found. sucks that it doesn't save passwords though. also you're supposed to pay for it. |

Re: smartphone software
Wow, Orb sounds ridiculous. I can't wait to try this out at home. Google Maps and Nintendo emulators, too!
I hate my Motorola Q (I've replaced it three times now due to faulty batteries), but I'll get what use out of it I can before I eventually replace it with a Treo. |

Re: smartphone software
This isn't software, but anyone who lives in NYC, DC, Jersey, Chicago, SF or Boston will love the hop stop mobile site. I've evangelized hopstop quite a bit in the past, it's really an awesome service (at least in new york, never used it elsewhere). It gives you directions via public transit that are great and with very accurate time estimations. It's a godsend in New York. Their mobile site is amazingly useful and quick. Just go to hopstop.com on your mobile browser and it will automatically redirect your to the mobile site (hoptstop.com/pda).
I'm looking for a third party RSS reader (not a web based one, I want to be able to read feeds when I don't have service). The default one in Windows Mobile is okay, but it seems to randomly not sync full feeds for reasons I can't understand. I've looked around a bit but haven't found anything really useful yet. I'll report back if I do. |

Are there any alternatives to MSIE for the Q? MiniMo requires a stylus, right?
