I am often fascinated by the fact that most things are ridiculously overpriced, but there are still items that surprise me for how cheap they are.
The one that is the all time champ for me is the common lighter. There are plastic, metals, gas, moving parts and springs. It seems that making a lighter is a fairly involved multi step process, and they still sell it for ~ a buck. What other items surprise you because of their low price point? |

there are lots of household goods at the dollar store that are ridiculously cheap. brooms, sets of glassware, little trinkets, crap like that.
