Beach whale, you should really be excited... now you can get even more money from the lesser players.

Well, that's just what I disagree with (in the long run), as you may have read... I think that the effect will actually be the opposite, just like northern Europe may well get a colder climate as a result of global warming.

Draw is a sensitive game, since it is so easy to slaughter the bad players. And we all know that milking is better than slaughtering.

Maybe I don't know any better. Besides, there are other
"other games" besides high draw, as well as vanilla games
such LHE and NLHE. There will always be "bad players": it's
a relative term.

I think it's interesting to look at what happened to limit holdem. Holdem used to be like draw, back in the days when HEFAP was the nuts: play tight, bet like you have at least a two-digit IQ, rake in the money.

Then along came the internet, and Ed Miller, and PT, and HUDs, and now we have what is, frankly, a much more interesting game. People understand holdem a million times better now than they did even three years ago, and the game looks very different because of it.

I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, although it sucks for the players who just want to play tight and have money handed to them. Most of them moved to NL, and now they're beginning to get chased out of there too. Who knows where they'll end up next.

I agree with *TT* and want to add my 25c This soft isn't a problem for 5Draw PL in total. The main problem, as for me, is LOW POPULARITY OF 5Draw IN ON-LINE POKERROOMS. Pokerrooms have GOOD money from TH and they don't apply any efforts for 5Draw's popularisation. Did you see any 5Draw PL freerols 2-3 monthes in a row somewhere? That's why novice has no practice and has no chanse when try to play against average player even on microlimits. I don't say about higher levels, where sharks waiting for him. What about books about ON-LINE 5Draw PL? Nothing except Wiesenberg's articles at Cardplayer.com are useful for novice. Other books(can see the list in Other Poker FAQ, Version 2.0) are for the advanced players and mostly not about on-line game
Low popularity can kill 5Draw, soft - no.
